Discover the natural beauty of Buttertubs Marsh with a tour led by a member of Nature Nanaimo. Look for strange insects, unusual aquatic life and the water plants they live on, see some of the 182 different bird species found there, look for painted turtles, shy salamanders and learn about invasives and what you can do about them.
Tours will run from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on alternating Saturdays and Sundays from May through August except holiday weekends.
Meet at the Miner’s Cottage at the parking area off of Jingle Pot Road entrance.
