November 21, Meeting @ 7pm – Understanding Aquatic Invasive Species in British Columbia with Thomas Therriault

The talk will introduce Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) – what they are and why we care.
It will cover some of the more common species in BC and then go into a bit more detail
about how we identify priority species via screening tools, research on key invaders like
the European Green Crab. Thomas will discuss education and outreach which provides
an opportunity for our members to understand the roles they play.
